When my dad retired he started on the family tree stuff. Apart from a few gaps he's traced us back to the ******* (okay then, illegitimate) side of the kings of Scotland.

I am British first and English second, unless I am challenged by some dictat halfwit that I should put British and not English on some form,then I insist that I am English :oops: Just claim the Uman rights act and they c""p themselves, great to see, you really should try it!!!!! :oops:

I was once asked in Derry " is you's English?" to which I replied "No I'm a Yorkshire man." "Thats alright then big man!" Got me out of a tight spot that night!

 

I'm a Yorkshire man and proud of it.

I am Norfolk, and I even have a Norfolk Surname name and an English forename.
