Went out today to shoot a few crows,a freind of mine has been twice this week, and not shot a lot to be honest, the birds dont want to decoy, maybe the weather has thrown them out of routine ;) anyway got there about 6.15 and set up my hide.

Set out the decoys, only 8x full body birds today, sat down ready to shoot by 6.30 , sat for a few minutes then the first bird arrived, shot him and put him onto a floater cradle ive modified(see DIY section,on how i modified a pigeon cradle)

The birds seemed to decoy into the pattern with no problems, and i had some steady shooting, then about 8.30 it seemed to stop,no birds to be seen :good: so i decided to pack up,finished with 24 birds for two hours shooting, looking back this time last year, i was averaging 70-80 bird bags, are the birds later this year leaving the nests?

ive shot bags of crows,by just placing out 2 full bodied flocked decoys, ive never used a pattern. i norm do alot more damage to crows after the second cut of silage in my area, all the young are out. crow shooting is fun,you have to out wit a very smart and switched on bird. if the hides not perfect you have no chance.
