Quick photo of my new Tikka T3 Super Varmint, in .243Win

Just put 17 shots of factory Remington 75grn Accutip through it running her in, and she was grouping at 1/2" @ 100 yards.

Out tonight to try and blood it with a couple of gingers  Will then set about working up some reloads for it!

I know a patch of land that needs two charlies sorting out. If you decide to go elsewhere tonight, we can pop over there.

I did just try to call you, but you're probably on the throne or something.

Can you not see the top of the mod cover when looking through the scope Gary?

Nope - Crystal clear

The mod cover is essential for stalking work - I hate that "PING" sound you get with thick woodland / cover coming into contact with the mod.

Have you tried 100 grain bullets through her?

Not yet - just 75grn

Be serious GB. I've never seen anyone fret so much over a knocked rifle before. The camo is just to show off :good:

It's more to do with being stealthy rather than knocks 'N bumps.

Mods really resonate when pulled through hedges / brambles etc, and could easily spook a Fox or a Deer - The cover cuts this problem out.

Did you struggle to find the mod cover when you unwrapped it after the postman delivered it?

I have the same trouble every time I try to buy camo clothing :good::lol:

Just been out to start my load development with this new rifle...

Only managed to fire 3 shots with it, as the 1st batch of 3 grouped at .2" @ 100 yards HAPPY DAYS!

This target was shot in a 10-12 mph wind

37Grn of Varget, Lapua Brass, CCI LR Primer, Hornady 75Grn V-Max - seated -5thou from the lands (2.2400)

I'll be spending the rest of today dismantling my other test loads and turning them into the one above!

Got some more work to be done yet...

Will try and get some 90+grn for Deer working next, and then maybe some lighter 55-58grn long range fox smashers :good:

Although, I doub't they will get up from a hit with one of the above loads anyway.
