you have the rights to shoot, id let a couple of shots rain past ,after all she is trespassing you never saw her

That will get the police out ok..Chances are that you will also end up face down in the mud at gunpoint too...If you are very lucky you will just get your ticket revoked.. Of all the advice posted on PW this one rates amongst the most stupid

Take a camera with you and photograph her tresspassing, once this is logged with the police they are duty bound to give you a reference number and follow it up, tresspassing is still a criminal act in this country so there is your answer.

Just thinking would he be able to log a trespassing complaint or should it be land owner :good:

Mungler may correct me; but as far as I'm aware, tresspass is a civil offence.

Now armed tresspass; that's another matter altogether.

If someone stops you from carrying out a lawful activity on the land (eg shooting) doesn't it then become aggravated tresspass, which is a criminal offence?

I'm sure there is good advice on BASC website to cover it.

Just tell her the field has been sprayed with gramoxone weedkiller and tell her to take her dogs to the vets ASAP.

Graxmoxone has been banned to be used but a bit of bluffing usally works it put a stop to some problems I had with a simlary situation.

Or you know her address do as said report it to a police or pick up some of her dog poo and post it back to her free of charge with out any postage she will get a charge card from the royal mail see will think she has got a prezzies .

The landowner has a duty of care to protect trespassers from all foreseeable circumstances. So unfortunately its a difficult situation you are in as its usually impracticle in situations like this to fortify the area so they cant trespass so easy. Only thing you can really do is contact police, lodge a formal complaint and make sure you state that shooting is carried out in the area blah blah. this is just to cover your back....

Then its a case of nagging them and talking to her really. talking to her is the best, try and explain the situation...maybe say the landowner is willing to let you carry on walkin here between time A and B (and you shoot at another time)

Good luck with you situation

I had the same issue on a farm in Swindon, women would take her fat lab through the field as soon as she knew I was there just to get in the way, said she was protecting gods creatures.

Farmer got wind and put a load of sheep in the field and when she next did it (no lead on dog and badly trained) he threatened to shoot the dog and called the police, she was cautioned and told to keep off or face charges so went well for me.

Does your lady hang about or just walk through and back? Just wondering how much of a pain it is or is she doing it on purpose as this makes a difference.

Very frustrating so good luck.

As said above, tresspass is a civil offence.

If someone stops you from carrying out a lawful activity, then it becomes aggravated tresspass which is a criminal offence. If and when the police turn up however, the power of arrest only comes into effect when the person or persons are asked to leave and refuse to comply.

:good:;)
