jonno 357
Wish I had a £ for everytime someone posted they on here, they had pulled another 4x4( which incidentally isn't a defender) out of the mud/field/ditch/tesco's carpark with a defender  Jonno Edited January 6, 2006 by jonno
Wookie
What would you have? 2 quid? Hehehehehe I love landys and an early 90 would be heaven for me. But then I do like to take things apart and fix things and I have never turned down a chance to weld anything either! If I could afford one and justify one, I'd get one, then spend my weekends under it avoiding doing work on the house! Wookie

Dunkield
What is the furthest anyone drives in Landies? I used to have Lotus 7 and although it still is the best car I have ever had and it was a bloddy nightmare to do long journies in. I drove to Mallory Park to do a sprint in it once and had a headache for about 24 hours after  I see people like Rick Stein, Huw Fearnly Wittingstall and other bloke that did the tour of the UK in Landies, one minute in Scotland the next in Cornwall and I am convinced they get them trailored from one place to the next and them do the last bit 'to camera'
ronttuk
i had a lwb landy years ago,the drive was like sliding down stairs on my bum,the comfort was like a deck chair in a carry on film, the heating was like a good day at iceland, the noise was like a million bee,s buzzy around my head so thinking back with great fondness of my early days ive decided to keep my jap 4x4 like all my other jap cars itsgot heating smooth ride comfort styling finness and yes it has pulled a landy out of the mud
pavman
What is the furthest anyone drives in Landies? I have an Audi A 3 on an 05 plate, and if I drive more than 50 miles it's ****e, hard suspension low to the ground blah blah, my Defender 90 is 16 years old and in good nick and I can drive it all day black top or field and still be fine, Its a man thing, like yorkies and not for girls

Axe
I wouldnt worry, they may be basic, noisy, uncomfortable and prone to making you spend hours thumbing a Haynes manual but.... They're bloody good fun, go anywhere and a way of life, best of all they're British.

white fox
What is the furthest anyone drives in Landies? I take my '85 C-plate 110 all over the country for my work, some 20K+ miles each year for the last 3 years. Previous to that I did the same in my old SIII, that one is still working pulling a sankey trailer full of logs for a local tree surgeon.
