goldeneye243
I am thinking about getting rid of my current car (a forester turbo) and getting a more economical day to day car and a "proper" 4X4 for fishing and shooting. I would have up to £2k to spend. The main issue that I will have is that I don't want one which is too tall, as I need to put a boat on top. This kind of rules out the discovery which would probably have been my first choice otherwise. Would be nice to get a seven seater if possible. So, which models should I consider? Currently toying with the idea of a Terrano....

webber
How about which ever 4x4 floats your boat and trailer the boat? webber
goldeneye243
I have got a porta-bote (folding boat) so having a trailer would defeat the object of having it. It sits nicely on a shelf until I want to go off fishing with it on the roof....

Raja Clavata
Get a disco, put the seats down in the back and put the boat inside. You could fit a ridiculous amount in the back of the one I had (including a roll-up Avon inflatable - outboard - oars etc etc.)...
