rover
it would seem I am soon to move temporarily into a caravan, whilst looking for a new house. The question is, what do I do with 5 shotguns in the meantime? Any ideas?

steve_b_wales
Do you have an RFD nearby? They can store them for you. Or do you have a mate with a shotgun certificate and room in his cabinet to keep them for you.
HDAV
Speak to FEO they may allow you to keep 1 with you on secure gun clamp or cable lock and put the rest in storage or similar If you have a mate with space to have your cabinet and they are cert holder but you keep your keys so he has no access to the inside of the cabinet they may be happy
J@mes
A touring or static caravan? Is there any way of bolting a safe to the chassis, through the floor?
al4x
I believe if its a static you can get away with securely bolting to the floor however can't see them happy if its one that can be towed away. Personally as said store them with a RFD though it won't be cheap or with a mate or between a few mates. As they are shotguns its relatively straightforward, only other option is do you have a relative who lives in a house who would let you put a cabinet in
mossy835
there is a lot involved keeping guns in a caravan, they like the wheels tacken off so cant be towed away.welded the gun cabinet to the frame of caravan, tow hitch with a lock on it and so on. apache
Download a copy of the firearms guidence to the police - there is a section on caravan security in there
rover
Thanks for all the advice chaps, it has been really helpful. I spoke with my local rfd and he can store them for £1.50 per gun per week. That sounds pretty good don't you think?
