Hatsan Escort P*****g me off

Hi everyone, just wondering if you know what the problem is and how it can be solved......................

My Escort keep jamming up the carts, i know its a common fault with them but it's taking the absolute p**s. Fired around 140 carts today and i not fibing when i say i must of had 50 - 60 jams. It got to the point where i was gona throw the damn thing across the field.

It's clean so carbon build up is not the problem and use 32g 6 carts so it's not as if they are to light. I'm emailing edgar bro's tonight and taking it back to the shop tuesday.

It's got to be sorted as it is spoiling my shooting.

Any input appreciated.

Craig

chop it in for a beretta, browning, benelli or anything else for that matter

I'm seriously at that point mate, spoke to the mrs last night and told her about it (to get her permission for a new gun). I am gona get a beretta or browning over and under soon. I still gotta sort this problem out though as the escort will just be an un-used gun in the cabinet and i've already got one of them, don't want anymore.

check the rubber o-ring, if its worn, damaged then it could be the problem...

had put 1000s of 30g 6s and 28g 7.5s through myne and had only had a few jams till the o-ring got damage, then it didnt eject and jammed up every 10-20 shots, put new 1 in and have put another 6-700 through with no problems at all

some hatsans are good some are garbage, its like anything, they are all built in the same place and with the same machines but some are bad some are good

cars, motorbikes, chainsaws etc...all the same, some breakdown all the time others plod on forever!

??? Sorry. They are 65mm.

What carts would you recomend??

i have used both 65 and 70mm carts, both have done me fine

is it the 3inch chamber or 3 1/2inch chambered escort??

the 3 1/2inch chambered 1s arent as keen on ejecting smaller/lighter carts, usually have to use bigger loads and longer carts

try 70mm cartridges

I'm unsure but 3 1/2 ring a bell.

It does make sense as i have some a box of 36g BB carts for if i ever see any foxes and they fire them fine.

Ive recently got a S/H 3.5" Mag Escort, it cycles 70mm shells no prob but 65mm is a NO NO. For the £150 i paid i have nothing but praise for it, killed some screaming pigeons with it this morning ???

Up until the past 2 - 4 weeks i have had nothing but praise for mine too, had mine new in april, could live with the fewer jambs before but it has just got worse and worse and worse at cycling to the point now where it is totally unacceptable. To the point where i feeling irritated even thinking about it whilst i'm writing this message ??????

I lay you a tenner you don't get one jam!, i have faith in these escorts ???

Sounds like a bet!!! ??? Any jambs within 50 carts and the tenna is mine, no jambs and the tenna is yours, straight into your paypal account. And you'll know if it jambs cus mine will be for sale on here.

Will let you know how i get on ???
