I wanted it for the shoot this year as i have been invited to do a spot of picking up with my cocker, if he don't behave then i will use the other end on him no angle iron I thought about it bit it just wouldn't look the same. activeviii
I have to make another but to be truthful........its put together roughly and then sanded and sanded then the black bit is polished to a shine. epoxy resin to glue the bits together but a bolt added for reinforcement. activeviii
how did you make the toggle for the strap? it's just a cut off tip of antler. drill a hole in blunt end. then a little buffalo horn with a 4mm hole. thread the leather strip though hole and wipe finish to hole in place. fill hole in horn with 2 pack glue and clamp together until set. then file black bit to shape and sand all the antler and Buffalo smooth then polish. take the cosh as well, just in case she tries to get back up. i did think about it but she is stronger than me soi need a longer stick. stripey999
Yet again another professional looking item "knocked up" in your shed. You could have quite a cottage industry going on in your free time mate. It looks better than you described earlier. Good job.
Dunkield
Very nice work well done I need to find another way to dispatch birds, I went to whack a partridge with my stick Saturday before last and hit my thumb instead, I honestly thought I had broken it. 12 days on and it still hurts
