Tony Morris Guns, Leominster

Hi all, I'm not too certain that this is in the correct area of the Forum but I'm sure a kindly Mod will move it if required.

I'm motoring up to meet Tony on Saturday to look at a second hand gun and wondered whether anyone on the site has bought from him in the past? Any views would be appreciated.

I’m also meeting COACH (who’s kindly offered to help with gun fit etc) at Avalon Guns on Friday so I might end up with a choice of gun!

Many thanks.

I sold a gun to him back at the beginning of the year. He seem a nice chap to me, though he didn't disclose he was a dealer till i got to see him though. Otherwise the price would have gone up, especially when i saw the price he put it back up for sale for. But all in all he came across polite and full of chat about guns an other stuff. Wasn't in a rush to go after the deal was done and we talked for about half hour. Nice chap.

Not bought off him but been to his place with my mrs as he's local and also brother in law to my mate I play snooker with. Chatted for an hour or so helped me with SC forms and also invited me to a clay shoot an gave me a free lesson all I had to pay for was the carts.

Was a nice chap wouldn't hesitate to deal with him if he had something I wanted, I know plenty who deal with him an all happy customers

Hope this puts your mind to rest

Ps what you buying

Hi,

I bought a gun from Tony last year. He is very helpful and an all round nice guy. You'll get a cup of tea and a warm welcome as well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again, highly recommended.

He's a sound bloke-i made the trip up to buy a .410 off him a few months ago. His missus makes a good cuppa too :hmm: Its a small place out in the sticks (think the village is called Monkland?).

sure is Monkland, lives about 1 mile from my parents and where i used to live.

never bought off him myself but he has a good name around home so to speak.

good luck

I've taken a liking to a Browning B26. Going to have a look and decide then.

Thanks for all your responses, they are appreciated. Met Tony yesterday and he is just as you describe, a nice guy, a ‘gent’. Knows his shooting and is happy to put the kettle on and talk guns and shooting. He’s also happy to discuss prices when you’re looking to buy, as he says ‘providing the price is going up I’ll talk all day!!!’ Tony has a well deserved reputation as a fair RFD.

Bought a nice Browning from him. :good:
