Boristhedog
Hi all, I'm not too certain that this is in the correct area of the Forum but I'm sure a kindly Mod will move it if required. I'm motoring up to meet Tony on Saturday to look at a second hand gun and wondered whether anyone on the site has bought from him in the past? Any views would be appreciated. I’m also meeting COACH (who’s kindly offered to help with gun fit etc) at Avalon Guns on Friday so I might end up with a choice of gun! Many thanks. deputy dog
I sold a gun to him back at the beginning of the year. He seem a nice chap to me, though he didn't disclose he was a dealer till i got to see him though. Otherwise the price would have gone up, especially when i saw the price he put it back up for sale for. But all in all he came across polite and full of chat about guns an other stuff. Wasn't in a rush to go after the deal was done and we talked for about half hour. Nice chap. sitsinhedges
I sold him a gun thru the sales section on this forum. Crikey it had a bloody good mark up when he put it on his website Seemed a decent enough chap though and he did pay the asking price Edited September 29, 2010 by sitsinhedges

Boristhedog
Thanks for all your responses, they are appreciated. Met Tony yesterday and he is just as you describe, a nice guy, a ‘gent’. Knows his shooting and is happy to put the kettle on and talk guns and shooting. He’s also happy to discuss prices when you’re looking to buy, as he says ‘providing the price is going up I’ll talk all day!!!’ Tony has a well deserved reputation as a fair RFD. Bought a nice Browning from him.
