Looks like you had a cracking week-end mate, I made up for you! I use a lot of Prvi Partizan in my .222 and find that even though they are the cheapest you can get they work well and are fairly accurate in my Bruno! The unfortunate thing is that no-one up in this area seems to have any Partizan in .222 50gr Softpoint in stock at the moment so I am having to swap ammo for a while till there is a new supply come into the country! It's a good job I am doing some web design work for a RFD who is giving me as many Sako 50gr Gameheads as I want!

hi pete i have allways used the prvi i get a good grouping with them and they drop what ever they touch. the hornady are good aswell i bought them just to see if there was a big differencs but theres not in my eyes. get yourself a 223 that would solve the ammo problem lol

it would make a good rug but aint got a clue where to start. i red into brain tanning but never give it a go sounded messy

i would love to but dont no where to start iv read up on it a couple of times but never really tryed it out. have you done one?:good:

I have cured foxes skins and small mammals for taxidermy but nothing any bigger than a fox. You have certainly got the hang of skinning, it shouldn't be too hard to cure the skin.

whats your method ???

You can buy tanning solutions from Taxidermy supply centres (Snowdonia supplies are good). I use a solution made from water, Borax, Alum, Table Salt & Pickle solution. If you were wanting the skull left in the skin you would have to take the eyes, brain and meat away from the skull, possibly need to boil the skin also. If you search online it will probably give you some tips for curing the skin.
