garjo
Just bought Miroku MK70. Never had a m/c before. These are invector flushfit. Need advice as to tightening chokes - do you need to make sure they are just flush or do you have to tighten thread until no more movement - bit worried about damaging thread if too tight. apprecaite any advice. Ta (also do you use grease?)
J@mes
wind them up tight with the tool supplied, but I remove them and clean them every time I clean the gun to make sure they aren't stuck in!

chrispti
Give them a good tweak but dont overtighten some grease or oil is good too  Make sure they are clean, grease them up ( http://www.tetraproducts.com/product_view.asp?ID=1 ) and just nip them up with the tool provided NB; If you loose the tool, an empty cartridge head or a 20p coin will also do the job Edited October 10, 2010 by chrispti
jonesbach
yup, bit of grease, tighten up with fair tweak, not too much.do find sometimes that they do come loose sometimes.
mad1
as above but i use a tiny bit of copper slip (pm me if you have none and i will send a bit to you)
COACH
A little smear of Tetra Gun Grease on the chokes after wiping them clean and then replace them with the key provided until tight. The grease will help them not to come loose. If you use oil they often come loose. Check for tightness a couple of times while out shooting. Always take your choke key with you but keep it safe. Does the mk70 fit well ? Only the stock on an mk70 is about 4/5mm lower than most guns and you struggle to see the rib once the cheek bone is on the stock, resulting in lifting the head to see the target and then missing over the top. Lovely guns though.
Gordon R
I use the Teague friction key - decent tool.
steve_b_wales
Copper Slip from Halfords, is excellent on all chokes.
poorpeet
As above. Use coppa slip and just nip them up tight. I just make sure I undo them from time to time.
garjo
Many thanks for advice for advice all. Yes Coach may have to get the stock raised a bit. The £1 coin trick on the rib - does that work? would that tell me if stock needs raising?
