gibby
WAHAY....all i can say... had a little problem with foxes and ducks, so instead of shooting the ducks i thought i should try for the fox... Went out scanned around, nothing doing. 10 minutes later shone the light and a pair of eyes 2 fields over. Quick call on the back of my hand and i could see him trotting along the fence posts with the help from nearby sports ground floodlights... Finally in to my field, didnt want to call to much so kept quiet. Looked down the scope again and he had stopped, quick flick of the switch to make sure, and bang... that was that, bout 50 yrds away ith the .22lr, i know i have had discusions about the use of a .22lr on a fox but i thought gun was pretty dam accurate and i knew i would be able to place the shot comfortably... any disputes pm.. Any way dead chuffed, nice little headshot and 1 notch on the stock...

beatingisbest
Good shot. People say you can take down a fox with a .22 air rifle let alone a rifle. As long as it was stone dead straight away it is fine.
gibby
Air rifle I would doubt that, but it might have been done but i pitty the fool that tried. Fox Shooter
Ive shot a few foxes with a 22lr. As long as they aint to far and shot placement is right they are fine. Just like the 17Hmr which some people seem to under rate.
