V8landy
but recently i have had problems with them. Never known them not to cause problems! Switched ages ago to Virgin and never had an issue.
berettaman
It was Tiscali but now Talk Talk is doing it for me and apart from it slowing a bit at peak times its fine

HDAV
Orange useless when there is a problem. but cheap... Edited October 21, 2010 by HDAV
JR1960
BT - worse than kin useless. I've had one of their internet phones for over a year and in that time its worked for about a week all told. I pay for 20 meg, the line supports 10 and, despite them having been out and 'fixed' it 3 times, if i'm lucky i get 1.5. absolute ****. Oh, and their 'support' is a VERY frustrating joke! JonD
I agree about BT, i'm paying for "Up to 8MB" but get 1MB on a good day, it's been slower than a slug with an anchor for the last couple of days... I have just signed up with Virgin for 20MB BB, TV and phone and really looking forward to it Jon.
mcw65
Virgin, complete package off them.BB,tv,phone and mobiles never had any problems.
jacksdad
Virgin all the way Been with them for years, Cable & Wireless, Ntl etc and never had a problem, thats about 8 years so far! I've 'negotiated' a cracking price as well, but for me service is equally important and they defo get full marks. Got a V+ HD box free when I recently moved house and that is superb as well: I should be on Commission
Pipmoff
I went from AOL to O2 and haven't looked back. As I have my mobile with them the broadband is discounted to £7.50 per month with unlimited download and I get about 6meg speed. Only had one occassion where internet was off for aprox 4 hours.....................Phoned them up to find out why i could not get online, they explained and refunded the cost of my broadband for that month! John_R
If you can get cable then go for Virgin. If not then BeThere.
Billy.
I know I'm a bit of a broken record here, but if you use Torrent sites, Virgin block all p2p file transfers. They'll also drop you a letter in the post if you continually try to use torrent transfers - nothing better than knowing your ISP is spying on you Amazingly they don't seem to realise that P2P can be used to transfer legal things... Not that it is ever though but keep it in mind if you do get the odd album Edited October 21, 2010 by Billy.
activeviii
Ive been with virgin for 14years, was telewest before that. never had a problem with BB, cable box packed up a few time but easy fixed with a swap box. landlines always been spot on. mobile.....dont get me started. no reception, calls dropping, phones are old and brake after a month so that swap them for a recon and it packs up. i have to stick with them because there is no one as cheap as i pay but sometimes i wonder if its worth it with the mobile. J@mes
My house is with Sky, and I get 4MB all day long with no issues. My missus' house (50 yards down the road) is on BT Business, paid for by her work and it is absolutely dog****. 1MB is the norm, we've had 3 routers this year alone, pages fail to load and at least once a day it is unusable for anywhere between 5 minutes and an hour. It was down for a whole weekend once and their tech support couldn't work out the issue, wanted us to pay for "remote assistance" at £25 per half hour even though we could connect to our neighbours SKY BB with no issue. Eventually started working monday morning with no explanation! It's supposed to be their top package, more uptime and assistance than the domestic packages.....yeh, ********! John-B
SKY all the way mine sits at just under 20mb. the joys of living less than 350 yards from the LLU'd exchange
ste12b
I am on Plusnet, cheap and cheerful. No problems yet. Because of being in the sticks (end of exchange line) not worth having a super fast connection.
