lspencer
I find that kebabs, pizza's and the chippy seem to work a treat with me! Or alternatively i find 'Meat & Bone' protein mix superb, eggs and fresh mackerel.
markbivvy
is the dog wormed regular.
ziplex
is the dog wormed regular. If so, a mate of mine had a Springer which was very lean/wormed regularly, additional to her usual dry food mix he gave her rice pudding out of a tin for a while and that seemed to put some fat on her skinny frame...some dogs may not take to it but it's worth a try. KennyB
dont worry to much mate, its not unusual for a young springer to be on the lean side its just coming out of is puppy stage as long as its getting a good diet she will fill out in time, see the difference in a years time when its fully grown and its muscles have developed, atb kenny Edited November 25, 2010 by KennyB

apache
and i give them a cooked pigs hock once a week which gives them an immaculate coat over winter Off the bone! Never give a dog cooked bones. Use a working dog food, feed more of it or revert back to puppy food.
activeviii
Off the bone! Never give a dog cooked bones. Use a working dog food, feed more of it or revert back to puppy food. ^^^ what he said ^^^ Also add a good quality fish oil. I use wild salmon oil, higher in omega 3 & 6. good on the coat and skin as well as helps with the eczema but also good for putting the weight on. i was feeding fish in sunflower oil but was told on more than one occasion that Salmon oil was better and wild was better still than farmed. Paul in North Lincs.
carbohydrates for adding weight...protein for adding muscle. Pasta, bread, potatoe - with fatten a dog up in no time. Oh - and a good dose of worming tablets helps on occasions ;-)

WGD
Rule of thumb for spaniels, 1 year up, 1 year out - she'll start to thicken up a bit over the next year and some are just skinny dogs.
al4x
its also better within reason to be thinner than over weight.
