That's a bit extreme Henry using the phone whilst driving has the potential to cause an accident. But no accident has been committed if stopped. The crimes being discussed here and fitting punishment is for convicted cases with proof beyond doubt.

 

Also the crime was pre thought and carried out against an innocent victim. A driver using the phone whilst driving is not setting out to kill or cause any injury to somebody just being irresponsible. And in the event they did cause an accident Im sure they would show sympathy and remorse unlike these sick people.

(However most seem to have a lynch mob attitude, if you think the crime isn`t punished heavily enough and it really gets through to you, do something about it !)

How about going away from the punishment side of the crime and look at how best to prevent this kind of thing happening, say a blanket ban on downloading/watching porn to UK IP`s ? Total ban on porn even from licensed shops etc etc. ??
