Enzo
Oh well, here goes...... Starting to plan summer fun 'n games amongst other things. Anyone out there own a bike and want to pop over to France for a few days in the summer? Normally Eurotunnel then head South or if you want, Nurburgring(madness). Let me know what your preference is - speed or touring as I'll either bring the R1 or the Triumph Sprint ST. Axe, I'll be calling on you for some 'runs in this country matey - no excuses!! You can teach me how to wheelie? Come on, don't be shy..... Enzo

To much into stalking now so any free time is spent on that now. good luck The Pelt Man

Pedro
If only this topic had come up earlier. Me and some mates go away every year, last year was the Nurburgring in Germany. Unfortunately we've booked to go to the MotoGP at Le Mans this year, so Mrs. P. wouldn't wear a second trip, (as well as moaning about. "All that bloody gun rubbish!" and a stag weekend in Newcastle). Thoroughly recommend Germany though, EVERYONE drives at full tilt - marvellous! P. Scotland's brill as well if you're on a bit of a budget.

Just got the SP2 track bike now so will be doing croft, donni, cadwell, knockhill etc etc. Never done an abroad trackday but can't wait!! If you do trackdays in the UK we arrange a day out there? Gilderoy
Yeah, no probs at all!!!! Spectaitors are allowed at any event and they're all a good laugh! I want to be racing in a few classes next year so that's when the fun begins! Just a big pi$$ up. Which track is best for you and we can get a day booked on it. Gilderoy
This was my onboard at croft last year, rained all day but still great fun!! Roll on the summer! http://media.putfile.com/Movie247 Rich
Gilderoy
Forgot to add it's **** sound as the mic kept going off due to the noise of the bike and if you look at the very end you see a yellow GSXR1000 in the litter with the bloke walking away. Pedro
Very impressive stuff seeing as it was wet. I take it you do a few of these judging from the fact that nobody overtook you! What were you riding, where and how much was it? P.
Gilderoy
Cheers mate, That was only the 3rd trackday I have done. I can't ride fast on the roads due to my brother being killed on a bike when a car overtook in the fog and then a lad hit a car head on in front of me in the summer so gave the roads up. Tracks are different you can see clearly around every corner and if you do fall off it's usually into grass or gravel. My bike is a Honda VTR 1000 SP2, I'll add a pic when I can work it out! Trackdays don't cost that much, Croft was £90 for the day but more popular tracks like donnington, brands etc etc will be a bit more but no more than £120. If you fancy doing one and don't want to trash your own bike then loads of places rent them out for the day. My 1st ever trackday I rented a ZX6R, it was £250 for the day which included fuel, track time etc etc, You do need to put a deposit of £300 down just incase but you get it back if you don't crash. Pedro
Why don't you start proper racing then? At the mo I can't afford to rent a bike and after my trip round the "Ring", I don't fancy using my own bike again. Anyway, nice to know there's other speed freaks who like to sit still for hours in the hope of shooting a pigeon
Gilderoy
Ha ha indeed!! I want to start racing next year, fancy the sound of thunder series. I missed out on this years trip to nurburg but my friends went and they were in decembers issue of bike magazine!! At least i think it was bike? I'll find that too and post pics!! Pedro
I'd like to see them. We went on the last day of the trip, and I must admit to beinga bit edgy. That was probably why I completely ******** a corner up halfway round. It wasn't the same after that, (the Gixxer suddenly appearing underneath me didn't help either!). When we got back, a mate at work told me a story of some car going off the track into the woods. When they recovered it, they found the remains of a bike and rider that had been there for weeks Probably an urban myth, but it **** my brother up - he refuses to go back and has now swapped his Mille for an XR650! Gilderoy
The SP2 in road trim on the track. The SP2 in Track trim on the road! The freestyle bike. And finally the ramp (which needs boarding) Rich
