fenix
Spotted this one when I was up at the in-laws near Cambridge http://www.huntscamra.org.uk/home/home.asp More local for me, the winter ale festival in Dover is rumoured to be good http://www.camra.org.uk/page.aspx?o=265154 my favoured option is a pub with a really good selection of ales, hope to visit this one in London over the next few weeks http://www.thebreelouise.com/ they seem to have quiet a few beer festivals, one coming up next week. If your in a London pub, look for a copy of the London Drinker, often has lists of smaller pub beer festivals, you can download it from http://www.londondrinker.org.uk/ there's also a link to a beer festival calendar. You might have guessed I am partial to few pints of ale, and love hunting out good ale pubs. Edited January 19, 2011 by fenix
bakerboy
I recently had a tour Wychewood Brewery at Witney, they also brew Breakespears Ales, fantastic value for money good priced B&Bs, and nice beers in the Market town, I recommend it for good weekend away. bakerboy ps we drank more free beer on the tour, than the cost of the tour £6.
margun
Dover beer festival is good - nice strong winter ales in the Medieval town hall. My personal favourite is Kent Beer Festival (Merton Farm Nr Canterbury) in July. Around 180 ales, 30 ciders and a great atmosphere in a huge cattle shed. twitchynik
If you're around the area, the beer festival in Whitstable is great fun. Ties in with their oyster festival in July. Best thing about it is being able to sit on the beach, drinking a decent pint whilst watching the sun set.
