Buying from a Gun show

Just a quick one

I am off to the Gun Show next week in the hope of picking up a cheap second gun.

My question is how do i get it home. If i take my SGC with me and a fist full of cash can i just walk out with one?

Do i need to take a slip with me? Or will a stand hold it for me and i can pick it up before i go home?

I dont suppose i can just wander round with it out of a bag can i?

Any help appreciated

Alex

A bin liner doesn't offer much protection !! I'd take a gun slip along ;)

Bin Liner in your Pocket, Gunslip in the car.

Be sure to get all the details of the dealers selling to you though, if (though extreamly rare) you need to chase them up, it'll make your life a hell of a lot easier.

the bin bag will cover the legal need, but a slip will protect your purchase... also easier to carry around. take care leaving it in the car if not out of sight!

also make sure you take your sgc and they will complete it there and then.

remember, it is more awkward if something goes wrong than if you buy from a local gunshop

Section 19 of the 1968 act doesn't have a problem with an empty shottie in public. Some places or transportation require slips or cases though.

If you are referring to Newark then there is secure storage (£5) on site. Check the website.

If you actually are likely to buy then take or buy a slip. Remember the table leg in the bag incident?
