SilentKill
A friend of mine bought the gti pirelli second hand which is basically the same car as the edition 30 minus the horrible seats. Same engine and got it remapped by vw racing. still keeps the full warranty and its around the 300hp mark. Utterly insane to drive and very expensive to run due to it needing a new pair of front tires every 12,000 miles! Joe 12000 miles! Hes obviously not driving it hard enough! Berelli
I had a Focus 2.0 but the GTI is much nicer and i don't miss the trips but to the dealer. The new Focus does look OK, might have a test drive.

vampire
I used to work for vw/audi in the 80s,have driven most makes of cars and one of the fastest was an old astra gte fitted with a pace turbo which according to the figures would accelerate faster than a fully blown quattro, well i had to find out and by heck did it,couldnt keep it straight weaving all over the road it was so fast. Nearly totalled an audi 80 sport picking it up from body shop, thought i would see what kind of speed it would do so gave it the big un and over took a van,was out and back in to my lane before i new what was happening,it was first time i had driven a car with power steering. Gave a rover sdi the biggun, went to change gear and did a nose dive emergency stop,it was automatic, the first time i had driven one and hit the brake instead of clutch. pull-bang-miss
OR....you could maybe get a proper sports car, something RWD, light weight, built from the ground up to be a sports car not a family car made fast, 2 seats and drop top http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/driving/jeremy_clarkson/article6796416.ece Clarkson likes them
The Duncan
couple that with a filter and exhaust and your hitting 315-320BHP and quicker than most road cars through the gears! wot? rather than coasting in neutral? Seriously, get a grip, get some taste, get a Jag But not the X, treat thyself to an S ! Edited February 21, 2011 by The Duncan

The Duncan
Lol you can't coast in an auto! And a Jag? Seriously? :-) Au contraire! take foot off pedal and find yourself coasting! Jags are damned comfortable, have excellent toys and gadgets, more power than you need (especially the s/c 4.2), but a slight addiction to the motion lotion Worth every penny
SilentKill
Think you'll find you need to be in neutral to coast any vehicle! And worth every PENNY is right!

al4x
I get 30mpg from my L200, dog likes to touch the front screen with her nose, suspension does what its meant to, lights work and even has airbags as well and it goes across fields ok
