Thanks. To be honest, I've not had a shot through the Enfield yet. Ive had it 3 or 4 months but I've been finding parts for it. I got the bayonet from America, even with the postage it was stil only a third what you'd pay in this country.

 

I'm still loving my vintage hammerguns. Glad to hear you're having fun with the ward. I dont posess anything remotley modern now lol

had the first shot at a hen and missesd-could hardly stop myself from dying from laughing-brought it down with the 2nd barrel to a cheer from the other guns.

 

Have you had a look at Holts auctioneers for vintage stuff..they have a sale coming up in march.

 

Now be sure to get that enfield off the couch before you missus see's it.

Ive had a few bids on the sealed bid auctions they do but I've never won anything! The missus wont complain, her dad is even worse than me, he has an Enfield, a moisin nagant and a mauser k98!!

I've had a couple of winning bids on their after auction disposal sale.worth a punt if theres something you fancy.

 

check out lock and load on sky............had a episode of rifles with a field test of a LE Mk3 versus a springfield then a garand semi auto.

Nice looking No1 MkIII, what make is it, i have loads of brass oilers and brass weighted pull throughs(slightly used) action breech covers 1942 dated and some other bits for the kit,

I am a enfield shooter myself, you should get out and try it on a range, Great fun.
