Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how easy it is to get hold of the Carbon Fibre version of the Maxus shown on the Browning US website? I've never seen it advertised over here in the UK. How easy is it to import directly from the US?

Cheers.

They are not available over here, so it would have to be imported.

I dont know what the exact cost would be, but I have been told its not cheap, and it takes time. The gun would also need to be proofed and have the mag tube blocked up if you do not hold an FAC.

As you are probably already aware, the stock and forend are not made of carbon fiber, its just a finnish :good:

By the way, in answer to the questions posted from others along the way; yes I realise that it's not actually made of Carbon Fibre, just a coating; and the reason that I want one is that I had a hold of one in a gun shop in the US last October and was blown away (not literally!) by the look and feel.

Cheers Guys, Roman

After handling the new Maxus at the CLA Game fair last weekend I think I'll be buying one when they're out. A great looking gun. Though the Browning Rep I spoke to admitted that he was a bit worried that the finish might rub off after a while. When I asked him what Browning would do about it if it did he replied that they would just replace the gun - can't argue with that!

So are these comparable to beretta ulrika/extreme/xplor or are the berettas a better gun?

I have an fac auto to buy and was thinking the beretta was the way to go but these brownings do look nice.

Regards,

Gixer

i had an issue with my maxus a spring broke in the fore end and damaged the reciever, browning have replaced it. they are all a lottery my local gunsmith reckons he gets lots of berettas in for all sorts of problems you just have to be lucky
