SNAKEBITE
.22 PCP. .22 because that is what I have always shot and old habits die hard. PCP because I liked the idea of having a silent rifle. Multi shot for the extra security.
Simon Roberts
More or less always been .22 PCP for me. thinking about a .177 PCP next.
roblade
nothing can beat the satisfaction of a well placed shot when your shooting a .22 springer! its about the hardest rifle you could ever get for shooting thigs with. ROB

24joy
Use .22 in both spring and pcp, and .177 in pcp only. It all depends on how i feel and what I'm shooting. All need a well placed shot, but for me seem to have more luck with .177 for pigeon and rat, .22 for rabbit, not sure why.

FM Ditto I use a .22 springer and .22 PCP, and .22 Co2 for hunting you like .22 then :o Yes. But I wont be biased, I have never gone hunting with a .177 before, but I prefer the nock down power of .22, rather then the flat flying .177.. I have just been putting the .22 PCP Gunpower Stealth to the test today, turned out 2 very large rabbits, both dropped instantly to the first shot, and 3 squirrels. A good day.. A good gun! caplock
As an occasional air gun hunter .177 springer, no faffing about with bottles and pumps, no lobbing a .22 pellet in an arc ( cos I'm cr&p with that hold over, under m'larky) and with iron sights!! 20 to 40 yards magpies and bunnies hate it. Anything further gets a dose of HMR ( on the ground of course!)
Ant
Does anybody know if the Sheridan pump blue streak .20 air rifle make a good hunting rifle apart from the pumping obviously ?
steve3562
hi boys i use a 22. springer! they rule:no gas needed just a new spring every so often. thanks steve
Guest jonrms
I have 4 rifles. 3 are pcp.. and are quiet, virtually recoiless. and you can operate them in stealth easily. the spring.... well its great.. easy to upgrade.... but you have the hassle of a break barrel, side lever etc.... anyway 22 all the way unless i go back home. and then i will get a big old fashion 45....... magnum sillys. Theskyfox
Hi, I just got a .22 PCP recently, shoots very nicely and consistently....got a Brocock Enigma Deluxe :-). I still would't get rid of my old BSA .177 meteor tho, so get the best of both worlds! I would say that with PCPs I prefer the fact they are quieter and have less recoil...but there is a novelty with using a springer... -Andrew
