Pirate of Love
Steamy Glasses I own a set of Top Gun glasses which fog up whilst shooting. Has anyone got any tips to stop this happening? Also, what other makes do you use, recommend? I wear contact lenses with non prescription lenses in my shooting glasses. Does anyone use prescription glasses for shooting and what makes, where purchased? Thanks POL
seeker
Have a look at the ESS range .. part of Oakley: Military approved - have actually been safety tested: good prescription holder: mine don't seem to fog. Not silly prices but limited colours. Used to use a car demist cloth but now just use a cleaner called Plexus as a cleaner polish for all my glasses : when I can get it. utectok
I shoot with colt winner prescription glasses and use a anti fog wipe on them. Works well for me
PhilR
At the moment I've got a set of Hi Def Specs with the prescription insert and they haven't steamy up even when shooting abroad in 30+ degrees. The last prescription shooting glasses I had were Randolphs and they were fine too. My mate has a set of the Top Gun and he was fogged out at the weekend much to our amusement. With both sets of my glasses there's airflow all round including over the top of the frame, looking at his Top Guns the top of the frame was touching his forehead so perhaps that is what creates the problem - lack of airflow. timps
When I was racing bikes the trick we used was to smear a bit of washing up liquid on the lens. Just a dab, rub it in and wipe off any excess with tissue. For me it was miles more effective than any of the anti fog kits you could buy. Yep, and as I've discovered, even worse if you wear a hat - pulled low for pigeon shooting.

Dirty Harry
I have a pair of ESS Crossbow glasses. They offer ballistic protection and come with clear, yellow and dark lenses and a good case to keep them in. They do not fog up. Breath hard on them and and they just don't fog up. Got them from here http://www.body-armour-protection.co.uk/ESS-Crossbow-Sunglasses/
