JustJon
Hi, Figured I should look at the costs if I want a go at pigeon shooting, this is what I came up with; FUD Folding Wood Pigeon Decoys - Box of Six Two of these = £50 Camo Netting 4m x 1.5m = £25 Hide Poles Set of Four = £35 Seat Bucket £26 Pole Bag £8 Floaters £25 Full Body Decoys for Floater Two Of = £10 Total Cost = £179 Am I missing anything? Have I got the kit roughly right? I know I could have more (magnets, crow decoys, another camo net for 'roofing') but these can come with time. Thanks, Jon

alastair0903
all i started decoying crows with was 6 flocked full bodied crows , they work a treat . shot over a tone in 3 hours with only 6 decoys ! i wouldn`t bother with plastic decoys on a floater just use dead bird floaters then you can use them for crows and pigeons , i`ve just picked up 2 of these off ebay for £25 delivered hope this helps
Bleeh
All you should start off with is some poles, a dozen shell or full body decoys, and a net. You'll need to get a feel for what your doing, and taking so much equipment will only confuse you at the start. Not all situations call for floaters, and you'll also realise that making a hide is a skill to learn (and shooting for one is a completely different skill to that). Keep it simple at the start, get a feel for a few bits of equipment at a time, and then build up your gear over time.

Highlander
A gun and some cartridges (which will likely cost more than all that lot) might be handy!
