I currently use a Hatsan Escort Magnum, and i put 50g Magnums through it without having any bruising. I only paid £200 for it and am very happy with it ;) ;) ;) , Oh and mine works

I have also used a Browning Maxus and i loved it, swung beautifully and light to carry, although slightly pricey for my liking as i do a lot of rough shooting. I've also used a Beretta A303, which handled beautifully, although being quite old now, but was still a great gun, and can be found for not much money at all ;) ;) ;)

I'm happy with my Hatsan though, ideal for the kind of shooting that i do, and that's why 6 of my other friend's bought some as well, and all are mechanically sound :good:

i agree with simon............i had a hatsan escort (new style loading system) and mine never give me any problems at all only reason i got rid of it was..... i was offered a deal i couldnt turn down so it went they are a good cheap gun but do the job just as good as any other make, yes some people do get a bad banana from the bunch but you get what you pay for.

i now have a webley & scott camo 810 auto and its a nice gun, quite light nice to swing mainly my rough/hide gun.

try a few guns out and see what fits you and what you feel comfortable with :good:

but remember you get what you pay for :good:

The SX3 has the same action anyway so don't fret :good: love mine to bits in the hide but just dont like auto to walk with, strange coz i spend half my life walking with one rifle or other - it just feels so wrong! still i have a few s/sides tucked away :D

M2, cracking gun, light, doesnt kick noticeably, use it mainly for ducks and pigeons from a hide. Im with the other posters, dont ike carrying it on a walkabout though!

Why don't you put a sling onto them then, much easier to carry with you :good:

HI Mate

I shoot a 28" barrel Beretta AL391 synthetic stock and I think it is brilliant. Good in the hide, duck pond and walked up shooting. It will cycle 21g right up th 3" magnums with no problems at all. I have not used any of the above so am not qualified to comment. I have heard nothing but good things about the M2 and would like to try one out. Until then I will stick to and not look past my Beretta. Try as many as you can and find the one that fits you best.

I've used a maxus and a SBE 2 alternately, firing 3" and 3.5" shells in one then the other. Couldn't notice much difference, possibly the Maxus just slightly less recoil. That was with only T shirt on. In the winter with a few layers and a coat, recoil should be negligable. How many 3.5"s are you going to fire in a row anyway?

If your getting bruised shooting 25 clay either the gun does not fit you or the cartridge load is too heavy. For me there is only one choice benelli :good:
