Spiderdude
No... To be honest I didn't mention it. After I dinked it thought best not mention it. Going to send it off to be finished properly and to remove the dent. Edited June 22, 2011 by Spiderdude

Gnome of the Woods
A lot of new stocks have only a bare minimum of oil, most could do with a coat or two and a coat of wax to finish off.

AlistairB
Well if my gun goes wrong, It's straight back to Beretta for free for the next 10 years end of. As my gunsmith told me, the Beretta extended 10 year warranty is only valid if the gun as been serviced by Beretta (or in the UK GMK) every year within the 10 years! Vinny v
A lot of new stocks have only a bare minimum of oil, most could do with a coat or two and a coat of wax to finish off. I asked GMK who simply advised that I return the gun to them so I decided to get an independant opinion and asked 'Sporting Gun Magazine' They agreed with you Gnome that a few coats of oil and allowing several days to dry properly between coats followed by a nice coating of a hard bees wax should produce some excellent and water resistant results. Anyone recommend a hard bees wax ??
Zaiyn
Anyone recommend a hard bees wax ?? For that you will doubtless need some 'ard bees. Z.

AB That isn't my understanding and it certainly doesn't say that on the guarantee slip. I have also bought a used Beretta, transferred the 10yr guarantee and had a replacement part sent F.O.C merely by quoting the guarantee number over the phone without a quible. Can't think of another brand that makes the guarantee transferable to subsequent owners.

Spara Dritto
No worries, It's strange your gun smith would be saying that (unless he was a Beretta gun smith) as he would possibly lose customers, as they would feel it necessary to go to GMK for services. AlistairB
I took mine back to them when there was some play in the fore end (SP5) and thats what they told me at the time, got it fixed under warranty though so all's well that ends well! owdnorthener
I love my silver pigeon 3 ..... but when I first bought it, I sometimes had a problem similar to yours ... I now think ( as mentioned earlier ) that I wasnt fully releasing the trigger after my first shot. I now have more experiance with my gun mounting and have no problems with it at all. Keep up with your shooting, get used to the gun and Im sure you'll find you have no further problem. I certainly wouldnt ever advise you to drop any gun ... broken stock = broken wallet. Good luck
