Spiderdude
I had hoped for success with letters, but so far nothing. I wish you all the luck in the world with getting some that way. 350 Letters with 200 of them with Business Cards 150 A5 Flyers So 500 farms written to all within 50 miles of Wakefield. I have received several very nice letters back, all saying thank you but we have shooters already. Very frustrating to say the least. I wish I had time to call personally, but I don't. :(

Cranfield
The OP might be asking about a "permission letter" for the Farmer/Landowner who is granting shooting permission to sign.

Spiderdude
not being funny but why dont you have time ,must have took ages to do the letters and while your shooting you could have payed a few visits Took no time at all to do the letters & enter the info. Modern technology of Microsoft Office to generate labels & letters. Then an enthusiastic 9 year old who likes the idea of a few quid to stuff envelopes. Though I will now make effort to go knock on doors, plus joined NPPC.
Herts Mark
Might have to post this elsewhere as soooooooooo happy Took advice from mmore experienced members on here. Obtained telephone number of local farmer, rang him and introduced myself. He was not overly keen to start but after chatting for 5 mins or so he invited me round. Armed with BASC membership and OS map of his land went and had a 45 min chat at the conclusion of which permission granted Going to print useful permission letter from BASC website OVer 300 acres - mainly rough shooting but some arable as well Don't mean to gloat just VERY happy
bucolic
Face to face is the best way, first impresions is what the farmer will look at, go with your gun licence, insurance, OS map or a google map of the farm and fields you want to shoot in, remember that permision is hard to get but very easy to lose, good luck mate. Spiderdude
how you finding NPPC ,no hard feelings spider was just interested I'll reserve my opinion on the NPPC until autumn. Most of the fields are Rape, those that aren't are pretty much hard to come by as usually booked very early. Once the cutting starts though I will see what happens. It's cost me roughly the same in letters as it has for years membership. It certainly does seem that everyone is out looking for permissions & the farms I have spoken to are already taken. Anyway, no hard feelings at all.. I actually agree with you on door knocking. Going to have a whirl tomorrow and see what happens.
P~MX
The OP might be asking about a "permission letter" for the Farmer/Landowner who is granting shooting permission to sign. True ! I took the advice of a PM and I used the BASC letter as a prototype and I adjusted as necessary - Thanks to the PM'r
