Rupert
I use then on clays and really like them,Was told they were a "softer" shell but it made no difference to me.Where have you seen them and how much?

Im using the 21gm fibre load for clays, I bought these as my wife decided she wanted to go shooting so I thought a light load would be the way forward. Lets say im well impressed I am getting great breaks at range (when I hit them!!) and at £147 per thou they aint the dearest. I rpobably wouldnt use them on fur or feather though. I am a huge Hull fan and my prefered game load is the 30gm size 5 fibre wad. cheers Nutty Edited August 5, 2011 by nuttyspaniel
OddJob
Yep great for clays, I've used 21 and 28grams to as good an effect as I can. Hull are a top company as well.
HDAV
There ok and very soft, I find they smell funny, I cant get them locally so tend to use Eley First £36.75 a slab for 28g Fibre is a very good price though!

Aren't Treetops selling Hull Comp X any longer? They had both 28 and 21 grms a while ago.
welshwarrior
They are ok I find them a bit patchy in 28g but the 21g work well for me

Not Since Ray went, i think they are doing supergems now, Sportsmans generally have Eley in so that does me.

DuncanH
Personally I can't fault them for the price! Good on clays, can't comment on live stuff though.
phaedra1106
I use the 28g fibre for clays, def. softer than Eley 1sts but won't work in either of my Hatsan autos, they cycle the action OK (slower than the Eley) but as they are 2-3mm shorter if I put 2 in the mag they both come out together when the action cycles (either by hand or by firing) so now I have to load 1 in the chamber and 1 in the mag (or use my O/U). Wish I hadn't bought 2000 of them
OddJob
I use the 28g fibre for clays, def. softer than Eley 1sts When you say 'softer' what do you mean? Just curious
phaedra1106
Felt recoil, they are def. softer on the shoulder with both my semi-autos and O/U. I bought them as I have Osteo Arthritis and rotator cuff damage to one shoulder I'm trying to keep my good one working as long as possible
semiautolee
im sure beretta italy will be along soon........he has part shares in hull comp x
eeski
I paid £162 for '000 28g fibre and £155 for Kent Velocity. For the sake of 7 quid my preference is for the Hulls.
Spara Dritto
Top shells, low recoil and excellent breaks. I use 1/4 + 1/2 extended teague chokes with 28g plastic and I was comfortably hitting 50 yard crossers even with 1/4 choke.
nuttyspaniel
I went out today to shoot some driven clays. The wife came along to button for me, I told her dont wait for me to say pull when Im loaded let them go!!!!!! Almost 75 bird flush singles and doubles, often 3 in the air at 1 time!!! I moved postion twice to get different angles 20 mins later all done and nothing felt in the shoulder. The moral? Compx 21grms are soft and break clays well, and B dont tell the wife to let fly with the clays!!! cheers nutty
