I was just getting out of bed after a night shift. Mum had left the TV on downstairs, so in the normal "I've just got up but need 10 more hours sleep" state I plonked down on the sofa and thought I was watching a shonky TV movie. Got up, made a brew, sat back down and then it clicked what the hell was going on.

I was at work and started getting numerous calls that there was a problem with the internet (IT Manager) and that no news sites were accessible.

Went downstairs and saw what had happened on TV, nothing wrong with the internet, just all the news sites were overloaded.

Jon.

I was on my honeymoon in Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia. We were in a beach hotel with bungalows on stilts. It was weird to be so detached from it and just getting it in the jacuzzi via CNN. I remember ex-pres Bill Clinton was in town and we saw his motorcade roaring off to the airport.

We flew to Hong Kong - on the 15th I think it was - and loads of new measures had been introduced at the airports. Nothing compared with now though :(.

Was in someone's front room arresting a little scrote, asked his mother to turn the tv up, the little scrote started to complain and his mother with tears streaming down her face turned and wacked him right across the face,it must have been the first time he had been disciplined as he stood there silent for a good 5 minutes while we watched.

Don't know, not really a date that I consider to be honest.

When you think about how many lives are lost in tsunami's, floods and earthquakes and through starvation every year, makes the loss of a few American financial advisors seem a bit trivial, whatever the cause.

Know this will cause a bit of flak, but just my opinion

Woh!

Thats pretty extreme. Dont think that you can compare an act of God and an act of Terrorism / mass murder but there you go.

Was at work when i heard it then turned on the box and saw it,im still convinced it was an inside job watched quite alot of stuff on youtube about it i think if anybody had watched some of the videos on there i have you may question it yourself

It doesn't quite add up does it?

Farenheit 911 was an eye opener for me. I can't stand Michael Moore but for the first hour I was transfixed. It went a bit cack towards the end.

I was crashed on the settee with my Mar an Par and who would turn out to be my present girl friend.

The next door neighbour came in an told us to turn on to the news channel to see what was going on

over the pond. To this day i am still honestly shocked at what transpired in the next few mins we had the

news on.

And seeing the programs that have been aired the last few days have brought all those

memories back clear an as vivid as ever. But at least 10yrs later they got the man behind

the planning of it all has been brought to some sort of Justice.

Im glad im not the only one,im not one for conspiracies ever but after me and my woman watched loads on it loose change was ok and crash course, but it was clearly a controlled demolition just looking at it i would say maybe we should start another thread about it?

I was on night shift and got up in the afternoon. Put sky news on and half asleep watched the 2nd tower come down. Thought I was watching a trailer for a film til the wife said it was real. I was wide awake then!!

Appalling event...

Conspiracy theorists, don`t make me laugh. Its too serious an event.

Was at work and the internet went down as the news broke and everyone went online to check the latest. I popped upstairs to the maintenance crib, where my brother worked, and watched the second impact on TV in disbelief.

It was my wife's 32nd birthday, still went out for a.meal that night but it was a pretty subdued affair.

Frankly, the conspiracy theories are ridiculous and ill thought out. I forget the name of the guy but it's no coincidence that a prominent leader in Afghanistan was bumped off two days prior to the attacks. This guy was widely believed to be the one person who could have, due to his influence, caught Bin Laden quickly. Perhaps the US done him in too just to ensure the war on terror was a long drawn out affair, me thinks not...
