Yep it moves a considerable amount.

might be a dominance issue, try aiming at something with one shut, then open eye and see if point of aim has moved,if it has ,theres a dominance,if you shoot better with one eye, cant see problem,is handy with other eye open though ,gives more field of veiw.

I've tried both ways but I still miss lol, I'm left eye dominant/right hand shot so I tend to wear my glasses which corrects the issue but I still miss clays so I sometimes use one eye shut which then tends to cause me to aim . I guess doing Lightweight Sporting Rifle competitions doesn't help either but for that I have both eyes open so now I'm really confused and don't know who I am!! :/

Interesting question, i was discussing this with PhilR the other day. My best game shooting is done when i dont think about it, and i tend to have both eyes open and on the bird without thinking about where the gun is pointing, but when i shoot clays i tend to close my left eye (now i'm aware of it, it's something i'm trying to stop). Apparently it's something to do with predicting the clay and then trying to work out the lead and therefore missing, rather than being instinctive with it.

Same here also left eye dominant. And right handed so close left eye

Same but changed shoulders to shoot left handed it takes time and effort but worth it! Go and see a good coach and take it from there.I tried everything (big thread here on it if you search back) before changing shoulders, none of it worked for me.

To check it yes, to correct it takes a lot more.

Eye dominance is a tricky thing to sort and poor gun mount, stance and gun fit will all play a part, I have been through it all and finding a good coach was what sorted it out for me, I saw him recently and he ripped my stance to bits, result much better results on crossing birds...

I expect he probably ripped a fair wedge of cash out of your pocket as well. Did he teach you anything a few rounds of skeet and a self-critical attitude wouldn't have resolved? I know coaches are important, indeed vital, for certain aspects of shooting when you are truly stuck, but they aren't the be all and end all.
