Shooting Tom
we have the same over here, we must of put 200+ off a field we had been watching for a while, we ended up with 70 birds yeah they where not decoying that well but they came close enought to shoot at. also being under a flight line would help. Cosd
If you've been shooting long enough you'll know pigeons don't follow rules. You've seen birds on the ground, you've seen a flight line, get yourself over there and set up as soon as you can. If you have a good day, take a picture and send it to your mate, if it's a dud one, don't tell him you went!

Mightymariner
COSD is spot on, if the birds are feeding, and there is a flightline - what more do you need? The farmer won't care that the pigeons aren't following the rules!

Not sure how someone could tell you it would be a waste of time. Pigeons are unpredictable. I've had days where i've seen over 2000 pigeons on a field the day before, only to shoot around 10. Other times i've seen 50 odd on a field and shot over 100. Give it a go, you never know what might happen. That's part of the appeal of this game. Cranfield
Most of the birds I am shooting have the red wheat grains in their crop, they are definitely on the wheat drillings.

motty
over the moon mate, could kick myself i didnt take more carts , 3000 sat at home You probably won't make that mistake again. I take 500 with me most of the time, just to be on the safe side. If i shoot through those then it would have been a good day.
