davhope
I am at a loss to try to put into words how angry this makes me feel, Today the Home secretary admitted the immigration service is a mess, Petrol is at 1 pound a litre, the national health sevice is millions in debt, and two officious ********* cant tell the differance between a armed robber and two ladies training their dogs! I am emigrating in september because of stupid laws like this, does anyone know where I can contribute to the Ladies defence fund, A very ****** off David

Country_est
What can be said, I have a "imitation Handgun" ie Starting pistol that I use to train me dogs with. Only tend to use it in the first couple of years with them but this sort of thing rally does get my p!$$ me right off. The hassle I had to find one that didn;t look to much like a "real" gun I could probably have got a real one easier. Will be sending a letter of support to the email adderss on the link Trev. MC
I couldn't agree more with all of you, Angry just doesn't cut it. I too have an "imitation Firearm" in the form of a starting pistol. This Nanny state that we now live in is fast becoming a joke. This case will have implications for all who are involved in this sort of activity. I can only hope that these two women get all the support and legal help they need to stick one up this **** system that is in place. Good luck Jacqui and Sue The other point to make is that ANYONE can co and buy an M16 replica airsoft BB bun form your local market. That is an imitation firearm. What is being done to regulate that? a big fat nothing. Someone with a spaniel or labrador and a starting pistol would not bother me in the slightest, yet a 16year with a lookalike M16 would. Come on labour government and police force SORT YOUR LIVES OUT!!!!! Cheers Martin
Sussexboy
I have sent my MP a plainly worded letter expressing my anger at this waste of my tax money in bringing this senseless prosecution. Also my anger at such nobheads bringing the law into disrepute by misusing it. Have sent an e-mail to the ladies concerned as well.

Sales of those are all getting zapped under the VCR bill, seems they will have to be in dayglo pink transparent plastic from there on
Frank
Cant believe what iv just read. What a couple of nobs. I thought you all new where you stood over their in the UK, when it comes to firearms, unlike here, where the police make it up as they go along. Seems their is the odd bobby out their that is hell bent on targetting soft targets and running away from the real dangers.. Frank.

al4x
Its just down the road from me, made headlines in the local paper about officers being shot at. Made no mention it was a replica weapon or that they had permission to be there, Absolute madness
MC
Does anyone know how these two ladies got on? Aquitted I presume, but with this s**thole country nothing would suprise me Cheers Martin
Highlander
As usual it appears the average law abiding citizen gets it in the neck whilst the scum get away scott free. Gone are the days when we respected Bill now they're not worth a spit thanks to Mr Bliar and his band of freeloaders makes my blood boil! Interesting to know when the last time (if ever) Wonderboy in Blue arrested a ***** or an illegal???
pin
The article suggests that the case will be heard in September. I too sent a letter of support. At one time you could expect fairness and careful judgement from the police. These days I expect nothing but attitude and rudeness. My father is a retired officer and I have talked with him about similar situations many times, it is interesting to note he shares my own views and gives this kind of thing as a reason for no longer being an officer. A few weeks ago I got stopped when coming back from a shoot and all I got was attitude, animosity and cheek from a 21 year old copper so wet behind the ears it just wasn't true. It was all I could do to bite my tounge and literally take a load of sh*& off this kid and his mate, spoiling for an argument and a reason to make something of the fact I had guns, shells and knives in the car. I drove off having done nothing wrong feeling for a second like I had got away with something, until that turned to seething anger for how badly I had been treated. I hope these ladies win and sue for every single penny they can get, seems every decision these days is based on money, perhaps this is the only way to get the message across? MC
Well said pin, At a dog training class last night (which was held on private land which has a footpath along one edge) the trainer was using a shotgun with blank adaptors rather than a starting pistol for this very reason. Is is ridiculous that it has to come to this. Cheers Martin

Slipster
Just come off the phone to Lincoln Fire Arms dept. I asked them for their advise as i wished to purchase a starting pistol to assist in training my dog. They decided after about 10 mins that they would send me an application form and get it put on my fire Arms ticket to be on the safe side. I also asked them if it was ok to use it in my garden, they seem to think that it was ok but i could get into the noise/nuisance argument with the neighbours. I wonder if i will be the only person with one on my Fire Arms ticket
