multi choke

All the best for 2012 to all .I have a berretta 682 12g o/u multi choke which I only use for sporting clays ,can you tell me your preferences regarding chokes to use,I use eley first 7 1/2, 28gram,fibre cartridges.Thanks for all replies.

I use Teague 1/4 and 3/8 in my 525 normally shoot plastic eley first or anything else 21-28g 7.5-9 currently using 24g of 8

stick in 3/8 & 1/2 and forget about choke changin and concentrate on your shootin

After reading a similar post a few days ago I've changed from 1/4 and 1/2 to 1/2 and full. There's one stand where I go that fires the clay quite far away that I've been struggling with, going tomorrow so hopefully works out ok.

Not sure really, probably 50 yards or thereabouts. I have hit a few but would like to hit more and after reading a similar post on this subject thought I would try changing, interested to see if there's much difference.

1/4 choke will break clays at 50 yrds edge on with no problems, most people overchoke for what they actually need.

Interesting. I tend to agree, x2 when it's someone of little experience. I actually use pretty open chokes and it works for me, seems to suit my style of shooting clays. Had some good scores of late so open chokes are doing no harm at all.

Stick in 1/4 & 1/2 and never think about it again. You know what they say.... a bad tradesman always blames his tools!

For someone who's been shooting such a short time I doubt you're doing yourself any favours by changing to tighter chokes so soon.
