Topgunners
Hi All! Popped out again tonight on the barley, after a phone call from the farmer and shot 33 pigeons. I had the deeks resting on the top of the barley and in the blow-hole ;with the magnet spinning just above the barley heads and to the very corner of the hole. The birds kited in lovely straight to the magnet. Thats 2 nights and 70 pigeons. A nice end to the working day before going home for dinner. karl h
have noticed a few building up on some tram lines where irrigation has been pulled through but not really any laid patches yet so will do more damage than the pigeons

Stealth Stalker
I've started to notice a few building up over on my permission, on some fairly small laid patches of wheat. Problem is they're right alongside footpaths with no cover at all, I flushed up about 30 or so yesterday that didn't see me coming along the path. They were about 15 yds away and scared the **** out of me SS
Will Beasley
Been shooting Barley for the past two weeks. Its official......they're back bigtime, and we're bagging up bigtime. Tuesday was cack but it was very heavy, muggy and still but the last two weeks has been a dream... Which is very nice cos its been a forking tough year as it goes. They're also starting on Wheat, and sniffing round any flattened patches in winter rape. Get out there as there's some blinding sport to be had right now. Zapp
I've got a lovely little barley field on one of my shoots. Problem is that lots of them fall into the crop and I havent got a dog. Just waiting for it either to rain and flatten some good patches or for the combine to come. Then it'll be a day off work for me
