docholiday Posted February 20, 2012 Report Share Posted February 20, 2012 I hope I have managed to justice with these photographs in recording nature at its cruelest. Here are the pictures of two unfortunate Fallow that came together in the rut. As you can see the antlers have become stuck together, and unfortunately the antler of one has then been trapped in the others mouth. They were found in a stream so one can only hope one at least drowned but by the rubbing I suspect theirs was a miserable and slow death, they wernt seen so unfortunatly nobody managed to shoot them, and put them out of their misery, I have seen many deer stuck from fighting but never seen the large palmated antler squeezed into an-others mouth like this. very sad death of two magnificent beasts The one below shows how they became unseperable, They must have charged each other and sprung the antler apart, there was no way of pulling them apart, showing the force involved Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
