Whitebridges
Norwich Motor Group I'm told that these motors are now available in the UK. Looking at the specifications they look pretty good, i'm not so sure I fancy one but one day the Chinese will rule the world. I'd appreciate any learned opinions or if you had up to 20k to spend on a proper shooting wagon where would your money go? 13-15k for one of them looks alright, sort of. Cheers fellas. ferguson_tom
there was a thing on top gear a few weeks ago about all the chinese cars which are copies of the european/american manufactures. Dont no if you can see any reviews on them anywhere.

Whitebridges
Thanks for the replies and especially shaun4860 for the review link, interesting read thanks. I hear they are likely to put a 4x4 car on the UK market later in the year. As far as I can tell sales will be pick ups to start with. The price seems right? Dr_evil
For 20k I'd look for a lightly used hi spec Hilux 3.0 or 110 DC TD5
AmateX
My 20k would go on the new ford ranger or updated Isuzu rodeo.
HDAV
Looks very much like a navara rip off to me...... not cheap cheaper enough to tempt but the koreans tempted a few with Ssangyong etc the Musso was decent motor much cheaper than shogun or disco but didn't sell well the rexton was also decent. Saw one the new FJ toyotas parked up today spanish plates (not available in the UK for some reason) but looked OK http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn2qpRTJots&feature=player_embedded Looks handy.... margun
I'd be very worried about parts and build quality. The Chinese rip off the designs of others, crudely with no engineering prowess whatsoever. I'd look at a Ranger for that money. Gun & Dog
Hi I drive the Ford Ranger and can't fault it, personally I'd go for a Hilux but as vehicle which is purely for me and my dogs it's not worth it. I know someone with the Steed and it's a tidy vehicle. It's the top selling pick up in both Australia and South Africa, so can't be that bad!! fenboy
My brother in law works at a main dealer for the great wall trucks , he told me that the build quality is terrible and he said they are currently stripping down trucks and making one good one out of every 5 or 6 I would give them a few years to sort out their QC before taking the plunge
Pheasant Feeder
My brother in law works at a main dealer for the great wall trucks , he told me that the build quality is terrible and he said they are currently stripping down trucks and making one good one out of every 5 or 6 I would give them a few years to sort out their QC before taking the plunge Why does that not suprise me, everything made in china is made to the cheapest price, and the chinese reputation for cutting corners and using unsafe materials is enough to make me steer well clear. I can't put my finger on it but there is something I don't trust about China. We all moan about the lack of industry and manufacturing in this country, I know its hard to do on some things but where possible consider buying British. malantone
just paid £16,000 for a two yr old hilux double cab 3.ltr.full leather and cruise control, wouldn`t spend £20,000 on a chance unknown motor.
