Dirty Harry
You can get spray on anti chew stuff. Worked for me in the past.
Greenhunter
Its a lab...its what they do! Mines the same given the chance. (I realise that is no consolation.) She's not kenneled so it could be difficult if left to her own devices so she is caged when left, which isn't often. I would never have a kennel that doesn't have metal anti-chew strips on any vulnerable edges/corners and that really is the only way. The anti-chew spray does work but needs to be re-done every so often. They say the first 2 years are the worst GH
fruity
At 10mths she could still be teething and chewing to relieve some of the discomfort Edited February 24, 2012 by fruity

stuart21
I've found that mine who is 8 months old still chews, but not badly, just make sure they have something that they are allowed to chew, like a bone or a ball. Everytime you catch him chewing something he shouldn't, stop him and shove one of his toys or bones in his mouth.

nabbers
Personally I think it's a combination of teething, stress at being left and a bit if f~~~you attitude. They grow out of it! Mine ate...a flyfishing rod, my camping gear, the interior of an astra van, the rear of the seats in my Navara, the bung feet off a welsh dresser, my insulated wellies, my spectacles plus gods knows what else. Oh yeah my tax disc so I got fined! It;s an expensive phase!
