  1. 1. Should Sir Alex Step aside for a younger man with a better grip on the European game.

United fans out the woodwork :lol::lol:

This is the 1st post/topic that I can remember a City "coming out!" in my PW memory.

A small club, living in shadows, and thats the way it will always be

Big spenders have come and gone, just have a peak at Chelski, City - just a rich boys toy.

Fisherman Mike - I think it is you who has finally lost the plot, perhaps westham could use Berby? He has been poor for united, rather se the Pea and Wellbeck make names for themselves.

City - We are still counting

Another local rag all the way from Devon. And well done on all them titles, its only taken you 20 odd years to catch liverpool.

And please don't let jealousy cloud your judgement. You say were just a rich boys toy, it's better than being a skint yanks play thing, is it not ? Every club in the world bar none want owners like ours. But you united fans keep the illusion that our owners aren't sticking around. Maybe that's why thier buying all the land around the etihad stadium for development and investing hundreds of millions in the club.

Devon fox it's great to hear your opinion (being a local fan and all  ) but if you know anything about football you will recognise that every few years in football the balance of power shifts and nothing demonstrates that more than the 6-1 drubbing at the swamp :lol:

He would be a God at UP...why though doesnt SAF play him in front of those two lightweights? they are never going to set the world alight just dont have half of the skill or footballing brain that berbatov has

How can you say hes been poor when hes won the Golden Boot.

No it goes deeper than that...I wouldnt be suprised that when Berby Goes the truth will come out as it did with Keen, Beckham, Veron, Stam and Van Nistelroy...Its pretty obvious anyone with a bigger ego than SAF is treading on egg shells..

We were always going to be up against it tonight.

No complaints tho really we were dominated over the two legs.

Not to worry tho if we win the league I'll not give a tod that we lost against bilbao.

yeah nots let worry that the team at the top of the premiership was well and truly trounced x 2 by an average la liga side! oh and I suppose that the performance of the same super team in the champions league was due to Rudolf concentrating on the league :hmm: regardless of league position (arsenal chelski and liverpool have played well this year eh  ) man U are NOT the team they were, anyway that's enough, time for you to get your head back in the sand.

Remember the 05/06 season, we finished bottom of our Champions League group and everyone said; that's it now were finished, Fergie has to go etc..

Since then we've won 4 League titles, been in 3 of the last four Champions League finals winning one and a Carling Cup throwing in there as well ;)

So in regard to Man United not been the team they were, lets wait and see, a few bad games doesn't make you a bad team.

Dave you represent all that is wrong with united fans. You sit there spewing you drivvel. I'm a season ticket holder and there hasn't been a league game with an attendance less than 46,000 this season, most have been sell outs, yet the maximum capacity is 47,800.

Get a calculator out and have a go at doing the Maths then come back and apologise for your lack of knowledge and intellect.

And before you state the attendance on thursday of 38,000 that is still only half of your quoted empty seats, where as united had a huge crowd of 27,000 this season for one of the carling or FA cups games (can't remember who it was against).

And to end on a small fact for you, total city season tickets sold for this year is 37,500. Only 10,000 shy of a ground completely sold out, not a bad percentage is it.

Now you sit back in your comfy warm armchair and get ready to watch the game at weekend on sky like the rest of you plastic fans. And keep talking about all uniteds history, because after all that's all you've got now isn't it.

P.s when city beat the rags 6-1 at the swamp was it fancy dress, only for the last half an hour there seemed to be 50,000 people dressed as EMPTY SEATS,

  • 4 weeks later...

I won a stack on the Man U game - everyone knew QPR were going to get a sound thrashing.

Man U winning half time and full time and scoring in both halves - surprisingly good odds :good:

I've reinvested some of my winnings on a similar bet today

Oh yes, you just can't knock SAF - love him or hate him he's still at the top of his game and I reckon he'll see another half dozen Chelsea and City managers out.

Whilst on a footy tip, any Liverpool fans on here want to talk about Andy Carrol or does that need a new thread?
