Robin128
Nice one Poontang! Guess which bunch of idiots wound up the national debt and failed to regulate the banks? Well, memory may fade but the trillion pound national debt still accrues interest.

Every Labour donkey blames Thatcher..... If you lot had your way she would blamed for the downfall of everything, Poll tax apart she just about got it right. "King" Arthur Scargill didnt have the bottle to take her on, now he is still sniping away from the sidelines, Lord and Lady Kinnock (dont make me laugh) Anti everything until they realised how much they could screw for themselves if they became Euro MP's Tony Blair, richest ex prime minister in history, Yes i can see why you hate the tories, they only look after their own kind, unlike the above. Wharf Rat
Neoliberalism got us into this mess. Doesn't matter whether it was Labour neoliberals who de-regulated or Tory neoliberals who deregulated, the mess is the same. Callaghan sold us out to the IMF restructuring programme mid 70s, Thatcher took it further and boasted about doing so, Major and Blair/Brown did exactly the same. All the economies that have been goverened by neoliberal parties are in the ****, and not getting out of it fast.

Hmm. Let's have a look at the UK deficit then. Can you guess which years were the UKs highest ever years for deficit ( before the world economy crashed in 2009 ) ? I'll tell you, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996 . The last years of a long Tory government.

The last years of a long Tory government. Oh come on...New Labour (Bliar et al) borrowed every year of the 13 years (never ever balanced their budget). They pushed up the National Debt year on year ending up with the credit crunch that spread from that twerp Bush via CDOs and New Labour insisting the FSA did nothing despite what King advised. Dear me.

Livefast123
It is probably very wrong, but it seems to be how the whole British population think and act. Thats why they get away with treating us like mugs whatever the party. No point in arguing which party caused it because it's irrelevant, we are deep in the mire and only the people of this once great country can get us out of it. storme37
the bottom line is as everyone can agree on here all these posts are of the negatives both the tory and labour parties have achieved not much positive stuff is there? because basically they both messed it up royally truth is neither were ever fit to govern but what else did we have? lets hope the future holds better leaders than the past. more honesty less greed would be a step in the right direction alas i wont be holding my breath. hope the budget doesn't hurt to much lol
