cocker3
well spent most of today clipping my cockers as they looked like bust couches after a cold winter is was time for a hair cut no an easy job by the way dont think a should change my job any time soon any way after i had cleaned up enough hair to make another dog i decided as it was a cracking night i would head out fr a stalk at one of my perms . the field i had in mind was in rape and always has roe in it on the far side of the field there is about an acre block of grass that sticks out into the the rape field and the roe just love this grass park . the field is on quite a slope and with the grass park half way up the field you are visable all the way along the bottom of the field i got to the corner below the grass with out any drama and set up and waited after about twenty min 3 roe came through the hedge and onto the grass about 190 yards away i sat for ten minutes to let them settle down then the buck started to come down the hedge to me he was walking right to me less then 70 yards and still coming no giving me a shot the whole time then at 50 yards he stopped and looked staight at me i thought he had spotted me but then turned and started to feed on the hedge witch gave me the shot i was after and sent him down with 55 gr of sakos best he was a big beast at 44lb the roe 2 does never even moved from the grass park the whole time and as i walked up to the buck i had shot another buck cam through the hedge into the grass but as i had one i left it for another day the hair cut
