yickdaz
me and the old fella got a 20g investarm huspower last week from a member off here, so was looking for a chance to take it out and try it, so headed out today to look at some clover that birds had been using also a fresh drilled barley field that the crows had been going on, i ended up on the drill, pigeons just wasn,t around today, set decoys, and a floater out and had birds come for a look 10 mins later my first 3 shots brought 2 crows and a pigeon down, bearing in mind never fired a moderated gun before at live stuff only fired it a few times to pattern it last week so was made up with the start, but as the session wore on i started missing birds i would never normally miss and the trigger pulls were so hard it was pulling the gun offline of the birds, that can be sorted at the gunsmiths. managed 10 blacks with it then used my 12g o/u for the rest of the session and put another 14 crows, rooks, in the bag along with a pigeon a dove and a jay 24 crows, rooks 1 pigeon 1 jay 1 dove

yickdaz
Well done mate shooting a moderated gun takes a bit of getting used to You done well though Ps, on the pattern test did you find it shoots low yeah mate the bulk of the shot was around 10 inches below centre, so i had that in mind today and covered the birds with the muzzle then give them lead it worked to start then i kept forgetting to do it and ended up shooting as i would a normal shotgun then the misses started lol

yickdaz
the trigger pull always seems hard on moderated guns ive found but i guess you don't see many top end moderated guns about yep found that out as well so hard in fact it pulls the gun offline of the target as your pulling the trigger, another reason for missing well thats my excuse but gonna take it to the gunsmiths and have the trigger pulls loosened up a little bit

turbo33
Nice Daz I have the 410 hushy mossy, and I agree with all, it takes some getting used to, but it is a cracking gun over decoys and I get a real buzz out of watching a successful shot after the "clack"
