I can remember where I was when I heard he died, can anyone who was about then, remember??

BTW - I was on a walking holiday in a small village in the Lakes called Threlkeld and had a drink or two that evening(No deep fried sarnies for me tho)

I was at home in the living room wondering why my dad was looking down, then he told me and I just scratched my head. Well I was only 7 at the time, I didn't know who Elvis was!

Anyway, I remembered him today by having his favorite food, a cheeseburger.

I remember full well where and what I was doing when the king died. I was in a skin band around then and we wrote a number about his death. Thankfully it never got recorded which was a good thing as it was awful.

I wasn't a big fan but you got to admire him though haven't you?

RIP Elvis
