Shooting friends

Hi Chaps

It has been a long time since I last posted a message, I have been shooting for many years and enjoy the sport, my only issue is that hardly any of my friends or family are interested in the sport. I have one shooting buddy but he is busy running his business to shoot often. So I am looing to meet people in the Surrey area and hopefully strike up new friendships and enjoy some shooting banter. I mainly shoot clay (Horne Clay, Keston, Caterham)and if you shoot at these or other reasonably local shoots and are looking for a shooting partner or to set up a group, then please feel free to contact me, don't worry if you are a beginner all would be welcome.

Look forward to some positive replies!

Thank you

Well I suppose I should have expected such a poor response, it is rumoured that the South is not that friendly, and it looks like it from my point of view. How dissapointing, nevertheless I will keep on shooting all the same you miserable lot!!!

Is there anything in the Surrey area that is similar to what we do in the Herts Massive?

We get together at local and varying clay shoots, we meet up for meals and the odd drink, we go Crayfishing and generally help each other out where ever we can.

I can understand your response but you would be best editting it out and placing a more positive post, and who knows this time around you may get a more positive response

Good luck

Terry

This forum gets a lot of posts, your thread was probably overlooked, they very quickly fall off the the new content section if they don't attract a few posts straight away. Seeing as you started it in June it was probably about fifty pages pack (literally) until you just posted. A gentle reminder to bump it to the top might have been a bit more diplomatic and productive :/ I'm a Northerner living amongst the heathen unwashed darn sarf. Though it pains me to admit it, rumours of their unfriendliness are grossly exaggerated. At Terry says, it might be politic to edit your post and I'm sure you'll get a better response :good:

i think the title of this topic says it all if you shoot your friends you soon run out of them   and no body will want to come out with you :hmm:

Yeah that's true. I like sporting shots and I always give my friends a decent head start. Trouble is then the HMR is a bit windy and the 22 a bit loopy (and ricochets) so I've had a few runners. The dogs flush them out though and I then dispatch them with my priest. Usually with minimal meat damage.

Phone don't ring much nowadays though.
