Right guys thought it would be good to see what people are useing. I pursenly have used lots and I mean lots and 99% of them stay in the draw. I now only ever use 4 calls ( my hand, a Australian fox whistle, and 2 electronic calls for when the foxs are pairing up) what do u guys use?

I just take a "UK FoxCall" and a WAM" which hang on a lanyard round my neck, and my small mirror and piece of polystyrene in my pocket - And of course the back of my hand!

I have tried several "electronic callers" which work well, but I like to travel as light as possible.

Just my personal opinion but I find the only good call on the ucaller is crow

I have had foxes into shotgun range with the u caller but find it suits rifle ranges much better to be honest. My phone and Bluetooth speaker on the other hand has been a very cheap and light alternative which has worked very very well for me taking a good number of foxes with the shotgun including a dog vixen brace within an hour or so of each other which was a first for me.

I'm terrible with mouth calls so can't comment there lol.

My mouth is the most used but i simply cannot get the volume. My most most effective a hand made one with a split stick and the starter strip out of a casette tape. have been experimenting with the plasic foxcall you can bite on to change tone / volume, sounds good to me but has yet to fully call one in (in fairness there is a new keeper in place next door who is very effective ans keen and i wacked them pretty hard just prior. So alied to the highest cover i have yet seen here its not realy worth going out)

I have also drawn them in close with duck and goose calls etc, often we realy do over do the rabbit squeel on call educated foxes. i just feel wrong sat hedgeside with a rifle calling duck feeding chatter. I often think a Cerlew call would be very effective here at nesting time they are actually the main prey i feel

foxpro tends to get most use here, call wise it'll usually be one of the rabbit cries at this time of year. The vixen calling sound can be devastating at the right time of year and even occasionally with cubs about they will come in fast for a look. Works so well because you can site it well away from you, that said I had it resting on the window last night and had one gallop in from 200 yards. Lamping with one hand balancing the foxpro and shooting off the window was somewhat interesting. You could hear it panting as it started up the hill I was on top of still it won't do it again.

I tend to use my hand or a cottontail in distress on my mobile. Personally I find not many foxes call in these days up North compared to when I started 20 years ago. Back then I could call nearly every fox in but now as everyone and his dog is after them they are much harder to call.

It depends on which part of the country you are shooting as I've been down South and the foxes are a lot easier to shoot ...FACT

I use primarily my hand (that sounded wrong  ) as I can get some great calls that way. I also bring my Wigeon caller and sometimes old fashioned polystyrene.

Same as above, I have also down loade various distress call onto an I pod shuffle and attached a speaker
