borich
I'm after a paid of wellies for when I go shooting rabbits etc over the coming winter and due to a marriage next year i'm on a tight budget. Therefore which of these would be best for under £50 Seeland Country Neoprene Boots http://www.johnnorris.co.uk/shop/ty_243-wellingtons--and--leather-boots/11313-seeland-countrylife-neoprene-boots-2200.html 49.99 or Town and Country 39.99 http://www.townandco.com/products/footwear/tfw840-tfw847_premium-rubber-wellington-boots Cheers! RossEM
Personally I've a pair of the seelands and they are poor I've pretty much wrecked them in 6 months and hardly worn them Borich, up until May this year I worked as a farmhand for 2 and a half years, i wore my pair of Seeland 'allround' every day and I don't yet need to replace them. They will last ages if you're just using them for shooting. £40 off ebay.
ziplex
I've had a pair of Sherwood forest 'field' wellies (neoprene lined) for a few years now and they've been fine for general walking/shooting on the foreshore....comfy too, they were approx £40 when bought. They list an 'Anvil' style (cheaper still) but not sure if they are neo lined? Edited September 10, 2012 by ziplex
borich
How warm they keep your feet in the middle of winter over frozen ground?
ziplex
How warm they keep your feet in the middle of winter over frozen ground? These are as warm as the Aigle neo lined wellies I have.....I wear a thin sock, then a thermal pair over the top and my feet stay plenty warm enough. Damn sight easier to get on and off than the Aigle's too as they are a generous fit. Size 9 in these are fine, I need a 9 1/2 in the Aigle's and they're still a pain to get on and off due to the narrow ankle. It's not unusual for me to sit on the foreshore in sub zero conditions for hours where they've been great. Bloggs
I'd recommend 'Muck Boots' every time. They're very comfortable, waterproof and insulated.

kyska
I've heard mixed reviews about the seelands, but my pair have been superb, used for shooting, general farm work and shepherding, they've had a right hammering and are still comfy, intact and waterproof. It's a shame if their consistency is poor.
Asa Bear
I bought a pair of Regatta Oxwood after a fisherman friend, who's had a pair for twelve months, recommended them to me. They cost me less than £25 delivered off the bay. Not fully road tested yet but they look great, are comfy and if they don't last I didn't break the bank. If you don't want to gamble my mate has a pair of Muck boots which are @5 years old and still going strong. A bit ugly though IMO. Edit to say "fisherman friend" is not a lozenge but an actual person. Edited September 11, 2012 by Logo
