Hi,

Noticed on dealextreme that you can also get the camera & monitor

CAMERA LINK

MONITOR

saw that you can get an IR untrafire for under £19......

IR TORCH

At under £50 Im quite tempted to have a go at putting one of these together. Can you tell me what range it is effective at?

:good:

at that budget look at some of the gen 1 monacles with DSA and increase the IR with your lamp. Bodging up screens on ebay is a decent way of spending time and works ok on very close stuff but there is far better out there. Especially if you want to put it on a .223

I bought a diy set-up for £90, and bought a lithium 12 volt rechargable battery and charger for £20 off ebay. I just added my ir laser.

I didn't need to do anywork bar just attaching to the gun. It does have its limitations on range (with my laser anyhow) i wouldn't get much further than 100 yards. I would presume with a more powerful laser it should extend the range. All together it came out at around £150. Very good item and price. Especially as i just wanted it for rabbits and fox, where the alternatives were the NS 50 at a rip-off price of £400!!

There is 'scope' here for someone with the ability to knock up these DIY set ups and make a few quid!
