scarecrow243
yes they will work with 30grm 32grm 36grm if 2 3/4 chamber more if 3 inch chamber if you mean lighter than 28grm it should but every cartridge is different ask a gun shop for any loose shells that have come in with guns
matone
My 303 Sporter doesn`t like anything less than 70mm 28g shells. A lot out there will have had the gas apertures opened up up to address this but won`t be happy with heavy loads. HTH.
pegasus bridge
mine will cycle 21g carts through to 42g without a problem.
P~MX
no disrespect mate but is it clean ? is the gas port clean -- is the spring up the cartridge tube clean ? this one reason a lot of them jam and don't recycle . take it apart, spray it all clean with a can of spray break cleaner and after 5 minutes give all the parts a very light mist of Hoppe's Dry Lube & rebuild -- if that doesn't sort it you'd need to see a gun smith for a look over . Dekers
Sold my 303 about 6 years ago but it had no problem with 24g, I can't remember if it was 28 or 24 minimum Beretta suggested, I know my 391 is meant to do better! Cracking tool the 303, my lad loved mine and has never forgiven me for selling it. Edited October 25, 2012 by Dekers
scarecrow243
recoil off a semi auto should not cause you any bother its more like the gun dont fit you or you arent holding it correctly a friend use too end up black and blue with his old semi it was his fault
BRAD1927
I regularly shoot 21g Hull comp x when I take the wife clay shooting, only jammed once and that was on an overhead bird. Superb gun will never part with mine.

Mine worked fine with anything 28 and over ,wouldn't work with 21g

-Mongrel-
It was a pretty common modification, but you're probably coser to the truth.
