no disrespect mate but is it clean ? is the gas port clean -- is the spring up the cartridge tube clean ? this one reason a lot of them jam and don't recycle . take it apart, spray it all clean with a can of spray break cleaner and after 5 minutes give all the parts a very light mist of Hoppe's Dry Lube & rebuild -- if that doesn't sort it you'd need to see a gun smith for a look over .

Sold my 303 about 6 years ago but it had no problem with 24g, I can't remember if it was 28 or 24 minimum Beretta suggested, I know my 391 is meant to do better!

Cracking tool the 303, my lad loved mine and has never forgiven me for selling it.

My 303 Sporter doesn`t like anything less than 70mm 28g shells.

A lot out there will have had the gas apertures opened up up to address

this but won`t be happy with heavy loads.

HTH.

An interesting opinion but I'm not convinced, "maybe" a few, a lot I doubt! :good:
