.philmypower.
Ok first of all let me apologise for the video, I never had the camera in the right place but you can get the idea of it. This is how I breast my pheasant's, very quick and very simple. If people are interested ill make a better video after next shoot day, once I have some more birds. All that needs to be done after that stage is snip the wings off and give it a wash.

TaxiDriver
Is that all you eat of a pheasant ? just the breast meat ?
.philmypower.
No, I was just showing how to breast the bird. I save the legs all cleaned up and get them out in the summer to stick on the BBQ, not that we had much of a summer.
Whitebridges
Nice idea but the camera is shooting the pavement. Seen all these "fast plucks" before and to me there is nothing like the traditional way which means leaving the skin on the bird,
brian28
Thanks phill that may help some who dont know that method. 90% of the meat on a pheasant is on the breast, minced with pork and slow cooked with onion carrot red wine Worcester sauce black pepper topped with mash . Makes a warming winter dish to come home to. Keep up the vids you will get better lol

Bleeh
Please bare in mind this can only be done on FRESH BIRDS. Anything older than few hours and you'll just pull the legs/wings off. Very handy if you wanted the meat for stew/pies, etc though.

amishboy
Not bad at all. There are a couple of these on youtube and having done this myself (and taught it to a shooting farmer friend!!!!!!!) I can honestly say that there is no quicker cleaner method. Saves hanging the bu**ers as well as I prefer my Pheasant as fresh as possible. Well done, nice vid!! Lawson
