Barry probably outdid you on the shooting, cracking shot it was! He thought that i hit one and so did i, went to give it the second shot to bring it down and the gun had jammed! All cleaned and ready for this weekend!

lister1
Blimey you ask people for food and half the shooting world turn out. Looking forward to a shoot this weekend. Think the tide time should be ok, if a little early, what you guys think? 7.6 high tide plus a bit of water down the river should fill the marsh plenty enough to get the birds moving. How's sheps been, not been there for ages.
Big Mat
Sheps has been quiet for december, starting to liven up a little now! Sun rise isnt till 8 but still be plenty of water about on the marsh then!
motty
Does anyone think they are heading back North ?? If it's pinks you're talking about, there are plenty still about. Hoping to add a few more to the tally before the end of the season. Edited January 8, 2013 by motty

I have had more pinks over the house this week than anytime this season so there are plenty about , and I am only a mile from the wash on the Lincs side Ps shame I am not a club member as I am quite partial to a free breakfast !! Are you sure they were pinks , I regally shoot very close to there and have never seen pinks , there is a very large flock of resident greys though that mainly reside on the old brasa pit thats only a few 100 yards from the prison , Fenny and myself shot several of the greys earlier in the season. Yoggy
Hey, free this free breaky lark is getting out of hand. I see a load of pinks in March cambs this week, landed near the prison. There have been Pinks over the Wash here at W`sey, They have been spotted flying from March prison area heading to Guyhurn then turning West onto our Wash. A mate of mine shot a couple just before Xmas. They`re still about but hard to shoot because of all the floodwater here still.

I dont think that there is anything that says you have to be in a club to get a free breakfast you just have to be in the right place at the right time. I also think there could be 3 lots of club's members in this thread.
Big Mat
Yes I am in Sutton Bridge so not far away. fenboy
I think I may have to make the effort to join one of the clubs next year , I have threatened to have a go lots of times but apart from one day off sheps about 27 years ago with a mate that used to go I have never got round to it , I really should before I become too old and unfit rather than just unfit
